Gemotions

"Alright," Clara murmured to herself, stretching like a cat on the sofa. Sunlight streamed in, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air. She'd finally finished that novel, and a long, leisurely bath was next on her agenda. The water was already running, scented with lavender and eucalyptus.

A shout outside made her jump, a sudden break in the symphony of her morning. Peeking through the curtains, she saw a tow truck attaching her vehicle to its hook. Confusion, and then a mild annoyance. She couldn't remember parking it incorrectly. She opened the front door, ready to question the driver with polite curiosity.
